Richard Weston Ltd are insurance brokers authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority, ref no 306824. Special Insurance Schemes Agency (SISA) is an internet portal associated with Richard Weston Ltd by common ownership and management.  Any insurance scheme open to the general public is welcome to apply for a presence on SISA.  Where Richard Weston Ltd is featured all policies are arranged through Richard Weston Ltd.

Richard Weston Ltd place their clients’ business only with UK authorised and regulated insurers, whether they be traditional well known national insurers or the insurers of the many schemes we use including those we have designed and created ourselves.  You will be advised on which basis the quotation is offered when receiving the quotation.

We act in good faith but cannot guarantee the accuracy of information or availability of cover until your enquiry has been put to the insurer or scheme administrator and terms confirmed.

Please be aware that insurance companies exchange information and use various databases both for obtaining and logging information to prevent fraud and comply with Government regulations.

We always treat information received from clients in the strictest confidence. Similarly, nothing in our correspondence or conversations may be read or relied upon by other than the intended recipient and our permission must be sought in writing if all or any part of any correspondence or information is to be relayed to a third party other than immediate family (personal enquiry), involved business colleagues (commercial enquiry) or the relevant client (enquiry from professional adviser).

Our computers are checked for virus with up to date software but we cannot guarantee virus-free transmission and it is the recipient's responsibility to apply relevant checks.

Richard Weston Ltd is owned and managed by its Directors. We were established in 1980 and have built up a diverse account of personal and commercial business. Our production of the SISA web portal has given us an unrivalled knowledge of insurers able to provide cover tailored to meet the specific requirements of a particular client for their activity, property or business.

Our company policy is to discuss each case individually with the client if the client wishes or the complexity of the enquiry requires it. Under normal circumstances we expect to:

· Process all the necessary paperwork for the client

· Check and send out the policy document when issued

NB: We cannot guarantee its accuracy or take over the client’s responsibility to check it is correct and gives the cover expected, but we do what we humanly and reasonably can to ensure it is correct.

· Be contacted to discuss and implement mid-term alterations

· Answer relevant queries about the policy or its cover at any time

· Become involved in claims if there is no insurers’ claims line or it fails our client in any way.

· Handle renewal at the appropriate time, although clients should contact us if renewal has not been invited and cover needs to be maintained.

With the increasing use of direct dealing between insurers (and some brokers or web-based scheme administrators) and their policyholders, our clients value our working practices which are as “traditional” as circumstances allow. We do however have to make small administration charges as per our published scale. Details will be supplied together with our formal terms of business.
